Hopefully the new contract will make all those callout days go away. None of us should have to be away from home more than 15 days per month. But for now, callout is the name of the game, and its the only way to make money.

Just a heads up for any 777 new hires. Do as much of the CBT as you can that you get in indoc BEFORE you come to SEA for your sims. There literally isn't enough time in the day to do everything that you need to do, so it would be highly beneficial to do as much as you can of the CBT ahead of time.

Second that. Having that CBT either done or seriously dented by the time you get to SEA will make a significant difference.

Yeah, we've noticed that. It's been a big help and it's much appreciated. Thanks to those who have helped. We'll be sure to pay it forward.

Nothing tricky, just high volume and fast paced.

1) When you are extended beyond your 18 days on do you receive compensatory days off at a later time?
2) What is meant by the term "call out?"

1) Nope...
2) Callout is pay on a day off ($250 + the greater of 3.3 hours or actual block time). Can be voluntary (I volunteer quite a bit), or involuntary (up to 4 days a month).

Thanks NightIP. Is 4 days the most you can be extended from your 18 on? Regarding the call out, if you're in the middle of days off are you required to answer your phone and report?

you can volunteer all of your days off if you want to, but they can only involuntarily hold you out 4 days a month. you are not required to answer on your days off.

Also not obligated to answer on volunteer days when you're at home, as well (if you change your mind).
