What is the latest with Via, haven't heard much the last few weeks? Are they still hiring street captains, or just fo's now? The street captains are home-based but they want the fo's to use a domicile, correct?

I'll have to get back to you on that one. When I was hired, everyone had 2000 hours in type. The last few guys I have had on OE were brand new to the plane, but had lots of prior PIC time and a few type ratings in other aircraft.

I wouldn't like to preface this post with "don't shoot the messenger".... I was told that guys with 1000 hours in type should have 4000TT to apply as a direct entry Captain. Guys with no time who have recently been hired have 7k-8k TT and multiple types in similar aircraft flown under 121. Their real target audience is XJT guys who are looking at another 6-8 years to upgrade with 1000+ hours in the right seat of the plane.
