C5 expanding?
#631
UAL is scoped out, but reshuffling the players (whipsaw) is a known strategy. For example….c5 gets the 175s from a more expensive operator, and that operator absorbs the loss, or gets 50-seaters from a different operator, and that operator shuts down. C5 is cheap, and United has an ownership stake in them. It’s likely they will survive what’s coming, while others may not. SkyWest, regrettably, is likely to do just fine no matter what. AW and G7 seem to be weak links, but who knows? I don’t follow it as closely. Whoever shuts down, I hope those guys get first crack at mainline jobs.

I’m not verbalizing any sort of “rumor”….I’m saying this is the sort of thing that happens. Btw….I have no use for “credentials”.
