Won’t be long. Massive attrition going on currently and it’s all hands on deck. Bodies out the door each day are outpacing those coming in with the new hire classes. As for IOE, depends on if you’re an FO or CA. CAs at the moment have priority and it’s 4-5 weeks and growing as we lose LCAs to other places. Best bet, go to a AA/DL WO and make $$ sitting reserve. Or you could roll the dice and hope the new contract here is decent, and then you will be sitting at fantastic seniority. However, you will still be making significantly less still than AA/DL WO.

One advantage with C5 is at least you will know within six months if you are in United or not. If you get a yes, then United will pick you up in less than 3 years. If you don't get in then move on to an AA regional for a 10 year flow!

This is a hard question to answer as hiring has slowed to a trickle. The answer above is true for anyone who joined last month. It remains to be seen what the progression of the small number hired this month will be. I am always happy to answer PMs.
My general advice is go somewhere else but there are situations where C5 makes sense.

The company thinks it doesn't need to do anything to attract FOs to come to C5 because they're so short on captains and are able to get FOs in classes. But in reailty they are too short sighted to realize that offering incentives and QOL to attract quality FOs will give them a source of quality captains in the future. The FOs here seem to be failing upgrade training in significant numbers. (I speculate this is not due to shortcomings of the training department but rather the fact that the company is attracting below-average FOs, however, both could be factors). Of course even the captain incentives are looking lackluster now as well compared to what other airlines are offering.

This but for every UAX regional..
Depends on base mostly, IAD is very senior, IAH in the middle, and DEN is junior.

Have you seen how few we've been able to hire just the past month compared to late 2020?
They will HAVE to offer close to what the best regionals have if they want to be able to attract pilots to grow. This pilot group is very likely to vote down anything that isn't in the top half of the rest of the regional industry....and not just in terms of pay, but probably more importantly work rules.

No...it is my opinion that an inadequate number of successful FO upgrades is contributing to the captain shortage and that the company is shooting itself in the foot by being a bottom feeder of newhire FOs.
