Do you mean C5s current CP is unqualified or that the old Expressjet IAH CP was unqualified?

You have to be more specific as we aren't mind readers.

It’s the C5 forum, and the posting is for a C5 position, and nobody mentioned XJT before his post. The only thing that relates to XJT is the fact it’s in IAH.

I am pretty sure that he has flown the 145, so he is airplane qualified. BUT he is a 117 Chief and he has yet to complete the C5 training on the plane.

Default CommutAir Hiring?

Can someone confirm that CommutAir is hiring? The CommutAir website shows yes as well as https://www.airlinepilotcareers.com/commutair, but I just wanted to confirm that they have been correctly updated. Thanks.

Are you even a pilot? You sound like an old lady playing cards at a nursing home. Maybe a walmart greeter? Seriously, you have issues.

Default Still a joke

CP? Doesn’t fly the aircraft. Walks around the terminal dressed like he’s going on a fishing trip. Exemplifies the entire operation - incompetence at all levels.

But never mind that. That place is doomed. 4 plus years since they got the jet and still no CAT2? Manuals are still a mess. SOP’s and procedures are still a mess. Training is still a mess. Still have a training backlog? They haven’t even hired anyone in six months how could you possibly have a training backlog. Hahahaha.

Now there supposed to grow and expand? I give them six months and they’re gone. Truly sad XJT got the axe and that place survived. Don’t listen to me. History will be the judge.

That’s just njd’s style....his posts are loaded with “I” and “me” statements, as well as tons of bad information. Something tells me he was an engineer of some sort in his other life.

Are you new to the industry? Because even though I WANT to agree with you.....none of what you said even matters. Cost is pretty much king right now. Besides......XJT was a great place before the merge, but it had tons of issues that signaled the end well before COVID came along.

There was a pandemic that shut down the training center, plus it was widely believed to be a foregone conclusion that trainees in the pipeline were going to be furloughed on Oct. 1 so why finish training them? So yeah there's a backlog.

So you got the cares paycheck. Still paid the instructors. Still paid the students. Still paid for the classroom space. And simulators were already prepaid. So the competent group of leaders had the instructors get paid and do nothing. The students get paid and do nothing. The class rooms sit empty. And the simulators go unused. Awesome. Sounds like a winning strategy. Good luck.

Here’s the next 6 months:

First EWR flying not coming back. After october 1 a bunch of mgmt heads will roll. Incompetence will continue. Chaos will reign. EWR will be closing. Pilots will go fly cargo. They’ll start hiring hire street captains. There will still be a training backlog. The growth wont happen and the flying will be given to someone else.
