Yes. Some people like to buy into the rumors. The company has stated they would like to accelerate the parking of the Dash's, but if they can't get United to cover the leases for those months they aren't being utilized, it won't happen.

They also can't recruit or hire enough to keep up with attrition, it took nearly a year to get the new weight and balance program rolled out, and still can't handle taking delivery or more than 1.5 jets a month. Obviously I'm bearish on this rumor.

I'll believe it when I see it is the motto you have to have around here.

So they'd have United spend money to let airplanes collect dust rather than invest money into recruiting pilots?? More pilots means more airplanes flying, which means more money for everybody including United. American and Delta have already figured this out...

It's pretty obvious now that the company is fine with 40 total airplanes, especially since they have said that they are getting rid of the dashes in Newark as of the end of October. The focus is on moving guys over to the jet and not on hiring new pilots. I'm afraid to see how many people leave in the next 6 months after their year is up.

So good news for all the dash guys based in Dulles and dont like flying in Newark....stay on the dash and u'll stay out of Newark lol (till all the dashes are gone) it's like a dream came through (temporarily lol)

More News.......official announcement that we will be swapping 1 for 1 with the dashes. Therefore we will be getting 61 jets total. And ALL dashes will be gone by January 2018. This should be interesting

This is great news for the company, and for those pilots currently on property.

But I agree, this is going to be really interesting. There are going to be a lot of Dash pilots with some time off. And staffing all the new airplanes won't possibly be easy.
