But face the facts, you don't own the flying. Republic doesn't own the flying. We are ALL pawns in mainline's games. If you don't like that, then go somewhere where the company signing your check also sells the tickets. That should be the goal of all of us.

Didn't compass bid on the United 175 flying? Would you be upset if Compass had won that flying? Because after all, you would now be stealing that flying from Gojets, YOUR SISTER COMPANY, or Mesa. What about all of the Mesa or Gojet pilots RIGHT NOW that are in limbo waiting to find out their fates?

If the discussion is going to include information that is factually wrong, I'm going to correct it. Unless you would rather keep your head in the sand and just hope for best.

The fact is, Republic is staffing for a major expansion and we just firmed up our order for 100 new aircraft with deliveries starting in early 2020. Scope is maxed out, the only way we expand is by taking over/bidding on other's flying. The only way anyone expands for that matter is by taking other's flying. Am I happy about that? No. Do I have any control over that? No. Today's posterchild can be tomorrow's Dumpsterfire or vice versa. Republic could be right back where it was a few years ago.

Saying it can't happen because nobody could staff it or that there is no sim space or because epic loads don't match, is nonsense. Which is why I replied what I did. If mainline wants something to happen, they will make it happen. United buying expressjet should be all the proof needed to show mainline is going to do what is in the best interest for mainline when it comes to their regional feed. Only time will tell, if that interest will also have been what was best for Expressjet pilots.

I never claimed Compass is going to lose their flying. All I did was state facts in response to comments made about Republic or that contradicted what's actually happening here.

I've also posted in the compass forum from time to time for a while now. I've followed both threads for the comedic relief they supply. I would gladly fly along side you guys and would rather see a merger between the groups rather than Republic just be awarded the flying.
100 new aircraft?!?!? Well which airline is going to be giving up scope for that? It surely won’t be the pilots at DL, AA, or UA. With record profits and Section 6 negations going on at all the majors in the next 365 days you can rest assured no legacy carrier management is in a position of leverage when it comes to scope, especially Delta. If anything they’ll replace what you have, I don’t see any E2s coming to any US regional carrier anytime soon, yes I’m aware of the conversion rights at YX...but again the regionals/mainline management aren’t in a position of leverage to make that happen

Replace the 70 or so older planes and put the rest at Alaska. They don’t have scope. Who knows what will happen but the next two years are going to be interesting.

To be fair, OO just bought a **** ton of 70 seat E175s for Delta just to get around the scope clause and expand on the east coast

You don’t just “get around the scope clause.” That’s what a scope clause is for. More likely OO is replacing older 200’s or 700’s. All of the majors’ contracts with each FFD carrier dictate they can’t exceed scope limitations with other airlines.

I don't think Delta is scoped out on planes under 76 seats, but I could be wrong.

It was new flying under the available 70 seat segment, I believe. While the new crj900 atmosphere is at 70 seats but replacing some 200 flying.

The new E175SC flying out east replaced all 30 of Expressjet 700 flying. The 20 900SC that Skywest is getting is to replace 20 of their current 700s that fly for Delta. Delta is completely scoped out on 70/76 seat jets.

I refuse to buy that game after how PC they tried to go and essentially called their fans uneducated and told them not to buy the game. Sales are less than half of of BF1! Now that was a fun game.
