I really wish 150% didn’t spark a feeding frenzy. Would be nice to have some leverage in that regard. I will say there is a significant amount of opentime being offered at critical that is still up for grabs. We all saw the staffing issues coming a mile away.

Does anyone know for sure? Anyone e-mailed planning?
Nevermind -- I read FB.. Looks like FOs don't want to upgrade.

All I know is my seniority can almost hold it and I'm about 3 months away from upgrading. Idk who would bypass it unless you cannot sit reserve anymore because of family or personal reasons. I'd much rather have atleast some PIC under my belt if I'm out of a job next summer.

What’s going on at Compass? Reading this thread has made me rethink applying, here’s my post that I started on another thread that doesn’t look like it’s getting seen:
I’ve read through quite a few threads about upgrade time but with how fast things change I thought I would try and get the most current info I can, here’s my question(s):
What’s it looking like for upgrade time in any of the bases (I’ll be commuting from Sacramento so domicile doesn’t make too much difference) for someone with the required upgrade mins already?
My back story:
I have about 3.5 years of previous 121 time, right and left seat, I’ve been chasing the paycheck around at charters and now air ambulance trying to support a family on single income and now I’m possibly in a position to get back into the airlines doing whatever it takes since the majors don’t seem to want to pay much attention to someone who’s recent aircraft is a king air, understandable. The only thing is I don’t know that I could swing second year FO pay without the bonuses since I would already be looking at about a 40% pay cut with the first year bonus. I really want to get back into the airlines and I feel like if I have to go back to regionals Compass or SkyWest is the place to be for someone living on the west coast. I could probably make FO pay work a little longer at SkyWest but really don’t want to be commuting to DTW or DFW for ever after upgrade there. Also how long on reserve after upgrade at Compass?
Thanks for any advice anyone may have.

So if they need Captains and FO’s are “bypassing”. Why wouldn’t they do what there Sister companies do... hire street captains???? I bet they would have enough takers...

I can tell you all this. Hiring is full steam ahead. Actually thinking about adding some more classes in July. Right now we are full until August. Just seems like with all the R-ATP and summer here, a lot of senior FOs that are eligible don’t want to be the plug when they could have a nice summer schedule.

A lot of the R-ATPs want to upgrade but can't, even though they have 1000 in the jet
