Considering their spouse has travel benefits and you see the loads when you list yourself, that seems completely untrue. If it’s partially true, they most likely checked loads and posted it on Facebook for a load check and got caught.

An old coworker that had Delta travel benefits got his benefits suspended due to a family member logging in and listing himself for a flight. They knew it was was the family member and not the employee because the employee was on a flight himself at the time over the middle of the ocean (back in the day, prior to inflight wi-fi). Delta's policy is that you are not to give out your login to anyone even those people that are listed on your benefits.

That's really a stupid rule. For any other benefit that's like saying you can't see a doctor unless your spouse books the appointment for you.

There's a phone number to call and list though, so they don't need your deltanet login. Just your PPR.

It seems stupid until you think about all the internal Delta information that you could access when you log into Deltanet.

Which is why they should have a specific travel page and login.

Which is the way United does it. I am on my sisters "buddy pass" list and I have my own unique Flying Together login that takes me directly to the travel listing page with no access to the employee portal at all.

Fwiw, Delta does have a nonrev hotline where the dependent can make a listing and get an estimate on loads... not nearly as good as what it sounds like UA has but “a last resort” if the employee is unavailable.

It would be nice if they had a dedicated travel site like AA does with their travel planner.
