Remember that time in late 2016 when a good number of senior FO's were bypassing waiting for better seniority and suddenly Compass stopped hiring and upgrading for 6 months? I'm not saying it's going to happen again, but it certainly could...
i can’t help but shake my head. I had a conversation with a class mate who didn’t know if he should bid an upgrade. I made the point that you need to take the food that’s on the table as tomorrow could be famine. He declined my advice... took him 7 or 8 months to get a class after those 170s left.

Since we bid in advance can we bid based on projected hours, or do we need to wait until we have the hours and then bid?

You can bid in advance, however they only allow 40 hours per month. So if you need 1000 compass and you’re bidding for an upgrade 3 months from now, you need at least 880 hours at the time you submit the bid.

If it was me? I’d throw it in anyway.

Exactly. Make them tell you "no" rather than not trying at all.

We need the committee to rid our snack baskets of this scourge:

Thank you for the heads up. We're trying to get clarification from the company.. The committee was not notified before this knock off hit the street. They no-showed our last meeting so this might have to get escalated to the National Snack Basket Committee

I've heard that some of the rotor guys are getting the FOM mins only to have the company say that some of their rotor time "doesn't count". I only see the 2500/1000 or 2000/1500 mins to upgrade. Nothing about airplane specific time. Any truth to this?

Recently heard a rumor that a Delta employee lost their travel privileges, and nearly their job because their spouse logged onto Deltanet to check loads. Seems kinda harsh.
