Pretty good for those who will hit it with the company mins for total time and ME. Longer for those hired with RATP total hours and minimal ME. But that’s now. Eventually those guys will have that time and they are still senior to those getting hired right now.

Last year’s FO shortage looks to become a CA shortage and then get better as the long hiring freeze will have pretty much worked it’s way through the system - unless management does it again.

There is an amount of reserves needed to be able to drop a trip and for whatever reason they say that SEA is properly staffed even though the reserve grid says otherwise. In other words it does not look like you will be able to drop any trips in the near future out of SEA but I heard in LAX you can on most days.

About the upgrading once most people reach 1000 they can most likely hold a class date. If not one month as a super senior FO before being awarded a class.

I would have if I bid for it. I was able to hold it on the next vacancy bid award after IOE.

Could not agree more, with that shortage and upgrades going like crazy I went from bidding 70%% to under 50% in less than a handful of months.

What is PHX looking like these days? How long to hold a line? How is the flying? Is there plenty of it?
Thanks in advance.

All bases either right out of training or wait maybe 1-2 months.

You will get SEA out of training. It took my classmates 3 months after IOE to be able to hold LAX. Went there this month and still on reserve there. We are November 2018 Hires. However its trending down, people below us have only sat in SEA 1-2 months after IOE before getting LA. I got a line this month in SEA, 4 months after finishing IOE. Still not able to hold Phoenix, and be a while before I would have a line in PHX. The September vacancy the most junior guy to get PHX was 4 classes ahead of me and was a September 2018 hire.
