Losing Delta and New Opportunities

Clearly, everybody needs to be exploring their options. But I still think that management BELIEVES something’s coming. Otherwise they wouldn’t be carrying all the overhead we are carrying, despite - yeah - pretty impressive attrition. Otherwise the furloughs would have already happened.
My GUESS and it’s only that is that they aren’t in charge of the negotiations that really matter. I think those are going on between a major airline management and their union MECs, trying to come up with something that will get a 50.01% share of the vote. And how long THAT will take, is anybody’s guess.

Just curious, at what point would there be enough signs for everyone that there is no future? Seems 6 months of nothing and bases closing and other regionals getting more flying seems to be a lot of nails in the coffin.

Well, the start of furloughs would do it. The ability to go to Frontier WITHOUT A FLOW AGREEMENT BLOCKING YOU would be attractive to a number of people I know here at Compass.

there will always be pilots (young and old) who’ll keep their heads in the sand.

Oh I think everyone is exploring options, just at different phases to make the best next choice. Many don't want a lateral move to another regional. Checking the furlough box could actually help the job hunt perhaps.

30 Embraer 195 aircraft from Azul, which will be delivered starting May 2020.
Only way to start up that fast is have someone already certified to fly them for you...
