Delta has a stake in RPA, I want to say it’s 20% ownership. This comes after they declared bankruptcy and DL supplies Debtor In Possession financing

What’s sad is that Frontier is an ALPA carrier too and they are STILL allowing this. Despite what is happening. I think both of our groups and protest this...

I think they mean settle for it before they've given a legacy a real shot. Before they get their 1000 121 PIC, before they make LCA. Might leave earlier than planned due to the uncertain future, which may or may not hurt their chances at a legacy due to that PIC, LCA, or lack of.

Hell I can't even get a call from the lccs and have been applying for years also. I guess I too have some hidden flaw. I have well in excess of 1000 121 tpic. Maybe it's hurting me.

I don't think the pilot's unions have much, if anything, to do with hiring. Whether that's a 500 hour SIC whose dad just happens to work at Big D or a Purdue grad going straight to an LCC or the various flow programs. Fortunately in some cases and unfortunately in others it's up to the airline who to hire (obviously within the parameters of anti-discrimination laws). Might make more sense to revisit the 1 seniority list idea but that has obvious flaws as well.

The memo this morning was disappointing to read but helped reaffirm that I made the right decision to apply elsewhere even before the first memo came out. I have loved my time here and wouldn’t have changed it for anything. Compass has the best crews out there and it was worth taking the risk a couple of years ago when I decided to apply here.
Although my plan was stay here longer, later in September I’ll be heading out to fly the bus.
I’ll miss flying with all of you.
