Default OO Interview

Anyone happen to attend any of the Skywest preferential interviews in LAX or SEA? If so what was the interview like? Just curious!

Do you accept lord and savior Joseph Smith into your life?

In all seriousness no idea. Aviationinterviews.com is a great place for up to date gouges.

Not quite the same as what’s on that site. The CP preferential interviews just asked if you ever flew faster than .70 and if you have then the only exception is if it was ATC-directed.

I love the comments.

I did go through the interview, though. It seems that if you don’t have your training record with you, you get a full technical interview. I briefed an arrival and approach, got grilled on airport signage, asked about criteria for alternates (non-121), and assorted other minutia.

Otherwise, it was a typical HR interview administered by a pilot recruiter.

On the training record bit...the memo in Comply says to have a copy on file with the chiefs. I had done that. The gist I got when showing up is that a copy of the released training records needed to have made it SkyWest somehow before the interview in order to bypass the technical. I felt that if I’d had my training records on hand, I may have been spared. I was a little caught off guard, but made it through with the CJO (shame, shame, shame!!). Got a call the next day to schedule a class; punted until January.

If you can recite the FO Creed verbatim they will skip the technical portion

I have it tattooed on my backside so I can’t read it. The placement was not thought out to well.

Why, is the funny underwear they require you to wear blocking you from reading it..?
