While we’re talking about the planes... did anyone else feel that we had 2 different airlines?
the AA side, which was like working for the best regional in the USA, killer routes, super long flights, perfect mx and on time performance, great high credit pairing, ability to drop swap and create day trips, and a SWA style CRM
and then the Delta stuff. Always 1-25 hours delayed, stranded unhappy passengers, broken planes with 7 MEL’s, short routes and low credit pairings, 5 long days away from base, and CA’s that we’re afraid to crack a joke in the cockpit because they didn’t want Delta to hear about it?

That being said, the difference in maintenance/MEL's, and delays was impressive between the two. It's amazing what happens to your on time performance when the gates are open when you arrive on time, and the airplanes aren't all broken. That being said, it sometimes was nice not touching LAX for a few days during the runway closures/construction.
