Question for Compass Pilots

Before the bid comes out, I need some advice. I have vacation in May, I think it was the 5th through the 10th or something close. The question is have any of you found the best bidding strategy to get the most for your days off.
Should I try to touch it with a trip. ( pay protection for that?) or just try to bid clear.
I know some of you guys have already taken some vacation so looking for the best options.
I should have already read up on the vacation stuff...just to lazy on the off time

Best thing to do is try to bid for a trip to cover the vacation exactly.
We cannot slide vacation nor trip touch. The days you got awarded is the days you get off at a rate of 3.0 hours per day no trip protection. So if you have a nice 24 hour 4 day all you get paid is 12.

If it touched a trip, all that is taken off is the days you have vacation. Many others tried that and they got stuck with an out and back on the last day of a 4 day so not good.

Compass is holding a Job Fair with interviews on site in Cincinnati and Denver at the end of this month. Anyone have insight how the interview would be handled there? Is this a pre-interview and follow up at headquarters?

I just talked to a few people in upper management on the phone today. The flow through merger for NWA that Compass has will transfer when we become Delta. None of the details will change. This is great news.
Also, Delta and Northwest did offically announce yesterday they are certain this merger will not cause any furloughs. Also good news.
Im sure people will bash this. Show your negativity oh negative bashers. It wont change a thing!
