The airline is the leanest meanest in the business right now. How the bankruptcy was handled was excellent especially when compared to say Delta.

The DC9 is on it's way out.

Compass may be stepping on toes occasionally but if the pilot group was worth anything at NWA they would stand up now and then. Or at least they did in the Delta dealings.

Lessons have been learned and Compass is being run the right way. NWA needs them and is doing it right. Yeah it sucks that DC9 and Airbus flying is getting stripped but that is how it goes, kinda like Howard the Duck, RIP.

It's a job. If an agent or other has a problem well then they obviously haven't been around NW long enough to know the culture of the company.

I am not trying to be disrespectful or anything but chirping from the bottom of the totem pole equates to whining.

Really, who is whining? I suggest you reread my posts if you feel any part of my stance is whining. And where exactly do you stand on the "totem pole"?

AUG 85 is the umbrella I learned under.

I agree with your posts and all is relative. Your points are taken and well thought out but change is coming. And it is just a job....

You guys just keep on fighting and calling each other names, give some more insults, that way we will never be able to work together to improve our pay and work rules. Good job, well done, way to go!!!! Keep it up!!! Management will be pleased!!!

I wasn't talking about you whining. Just because my post fell next to yours doesn't mean you need to ruffle your feathers.

Others complaining. You can PM me if you want but I am not going to burn up about this.

I think Compass is a great company and a solid direction to go. NWA is a very solid company that has a lot to offer but is still on shaky ground. The current pilot contract reaffirms that.

Well there you go, I agree with you. Thats why i was trying to clarify with you about the whining because i was confused. I agree Compass is a great company, hence why I applied there when it all started. By the time i received the call from compass i was a captain already at my regional so i said no thanks and waited for NWA to call. I got lucky and the cards fell right for me when NWA called. I honestly believe the regionals and the mainline carriers need to be working together to fix whats wrong in this industry. Until we work together it is going to be a very slow process. Cheers!!

Can you say "bankruptcy", or "concessions"? Look at CAL, UAL, UsAir pilot contracts. Every Legacy is on shaky ground right now, and with $100+ a barrel for oil, so is every Regional. No one is safe.

This is the company culture and it is a positive direction for the airline.
If a CPS pilot is upset because he/she jumped the gun and went to CPS and is now stuck there, that's he/she's problem. They made that decision, and now they have to live with it. If they have an issue with that then I guess they need to get over themselves.(Not trying to start a war, just trying to prove a point)

The bottom line is that CPS pilots are not NWA pilots. They can't fly mainline airplanes, and they don't train at NATCO. To intergrate them into the seniority list is silly.

You're at a regional be realistic, there is NO WAY you would be brought on by DOH in the event that NWA brought you guys over. Compass was started and allowed pretty much only for the job protection of NWA mainline pilots. If the E175 was brought onto mainline to begin with do you think you would be flying it? Look i came from a regional i know how it is and even i am realistic enough to know that would never happen the way you fantasize about. I am a NWA guy trying to be on yall's side but if you guys have unrealistic desires like you presented i could see why some Mainline guys get pisy with you. Lets try and keep it from getting to that point any more than it already is.

The closest you could get would be brought over and put at the bottom which would be better for you right? Its that or wait maybe 30 months and flow over and be further down the list by that point, thats if NWA doesnt furlough before that point and bump you out before you get the Opportunity to flow up. Not to mention all NWA pilots are senior to you under the current agreement anyway, if you flow up where do you go? Heres a hint its not DOH
Tell you what, I will buy you a brand new backpack and ipod if you can get us CPS guys stapled on the NW list by June 1st.
