Reference the below in red. Its not a matter of staple as its trying to extend the olive branch to you and your ego is blocking you from noticing it. I am being real in my posts but evidently you just either want a flame fest or your just bitter i cant tell. I may be a regional pilot turned legacy pilot but i know where i came from and i hope to change things eventually and get rid of he stigma you continue to push for some reason. Before I left XJT, I started to see changes in the CAL and XJT relationship since CAL has hired so many XJT pilots and i hope that can and will happen on the red tail side of things.

We have guys at Mesaba already flowing to NWA, but they start at the bottom of the NWA list.
Well said, and thats exactly my point.

FWIW at least for the moment I don't plan on electing to flow to NW. That may change, but for now my intent is to stay at CP. NW just isn't in my career plan. (OK go ahead and laugh, I said "airline" and "career plan" in the same sentence)

Although greatly in the minority, I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way.

Actually alot of people I have talked to feel the same way. Some are here for the PIC and if they flow they flow. We a handful of American furloughs and also some retired folks from previous airlines.

couple of people were interviewed with less than ATP mins but that should come to a stop. The ALPA contract states that everybody needs to get an ATP type ride at the end of training.

Many people have gotten hired with less than the 1000 multi requirement. A few have been hired with less than ATP mins (less than 1500TT). Give it a shot, you have nothing to lose.

I don't think the process has changed, so here ya go:

1. Have a great attitude.
2. Have a great attitude.
3. Written is tough; WX, Cat II, 121/ATP stuff
4. Sim is fun; 727, basic airwork/holding.
5. Interview... see 1 and 2.

Really neither, although what the tech interview is seems to vary between people. Knowing whatever plane you're on goes without saying - you should know that stuff interview or not! Good luck!
