Default time requirements

What kind of times is compass looking for with from guys with 121 experience? Are the 1500 and 1000 hard numbers?

Lots of people getting hired have had less than 1000 hours multi. I just learned yesterday that a few people were getting hired with less than ATP mins.

I "think" you will have to have at least ATP mins when you go to training. Everyone recieves an ATP & or PIC Type with the final check ride. My training partner did not have an ATP but he did have ATP mins and previous 121 time.

I really hope we are able to stick to at least ATP mins as It is nice having the extra experience up there to watch out for my occasional blunder

I'm sure the Multi time is going to come down but I doubt it will get as low as most of the regionals for at least several more months.

Why do you think Compass is any different than any other regional airline? Just curious too... is that 175 sim going to be at NATCO or in the Mesaba training center?

In the end it won't be much different. However, as long as they have a good supply of resumes I would guess they are going to continue to choose the more qualified. I would guess it will change in several months when we get closer to the end of the seniority list. I would guess with some other regionals stopping future classes and asking for some to take LOA's the thought of having half the seniority list behind you in about 14 months is tempting. Outside of that, not much difference.
We just happen to still have half of our fleet coming on property by the end of the year.......This would be like some of the large regionals taking on another 100 jets by the end of the year. Realize I am talking about Relative movement in seniority. Don't want to argue about it, just taking a guess as to why we still have higher time guys applying.

If I had to make the choice to jump ship to CMP from another regional that had equal quality of life and not commuting if I had a significant # of people below me......Well, I would lose a lot of sleep over it but I just don't know if I could start over just because I thought movement at CMP was faster....Things could change for us just as fast with a furlough. Just some thoughts.

The reality is that anyone jumping to CMP from a diff regional is taking a huge risk. I would stear clear at least until the dust has started to settle around merger mania.

Risk is all relative, it depends on where you are coming from and many personal questions.

I strongly disagree. Every person's situation is different. In my situation, it was def. the best decision. A furlough at NWA with or without merger is very unlikely.
