What happens when your wife leaves you for some other guy and you lose your job and cant pay your bills and have to start sleeping at the shelter and hanging out at the intersection with your cardboard sign. I guess what I'm getting at is we can what if till the end of the world so should someone never apply anywhere except where you work....That would be the only right choice wouldn't it?

I'm surprised you can sleep at night your so worried about what decision others are making on their careers.

We do provide flowback protection to the NWA guys and gals plain and simple. It is why we were created. I hope I don't have to give up my seat , but if it happens I will hand it over because I knew in the begining that was the way.

Now please go play nicely with the other children on the playground junior.

Hi!

The new contract language for the joint NWA/DAL calls for no furloughs for 36 mos after the merger is complete.

The lawyers can try and find a way around it, but that's what is says now.

Ahh, but unfortunately the caveat is that they can't furlough as a RESULT of the merger. In other words, after the DCC they can't just decide they have too many airplanes and park some.

I'm not sure I understand your statement; it seems to agree with ATPCliff's and not disagree, but you used the word 'unfortunately' so I'm trying to find what is not the same as what Cliff wrote.

Can you re-phrase what you mean please?

In every compass post there is always talk about flowback and that all the compass pilots will be pushed out, etc. If it happens, it happens. Why not just enjoy the job for what it is and have a backup plan in case something does happen? To all the people that want to come to compass, it is a good job, planes are nice, people are nice, yes you could get sent to the street. When and if that happens, use your backup plan. Good day.

The Republican Nat. Convention is in St Paul in September and hotels are already starting to "back-up". I'm not surprised that they are having difficulties finding rooms already.

Best of luck!

Skippy - I think you successfully hijacked this thread. Let's see if we can get it back on the topic it was origionally started. There are plenty of Compass/NWA flowback threads out there. Thanks!
