FYI...I flight instructed for 3 years myself. I also didn't start flight instructing until AFTER 9/11, so it wasn't me at the regionals in the 90's who lowered the bar. And it's not about the wages to me, it's about the larger airplanes. I wish they were at mainline so there were more jobs for regional guys to move up to.
I realize guys have to start somewhere, I just don't want it to be in 70+ seat airplanes. Unfortunately, that ship has sailed. Sometimes I still can't let go of that. As I said in another thread, I lay down my sword in defeat. I will remember these discussions the next time the scope comes to the table.
Kudos to you for flight instructing so long. I remember how sick I got of doing Turns around a point, Steep Turns, and S Turns across a road.
Happy Holidays to you and your Family, and Good Luck in your future job hunt.

With all the uncertainty of late, anxiety has gotten the best of us. There are many heated topics and strong opinions leading to elevated frustrations these days. It is refreshing to see there are still those able to engage in civil discourse.
Merry Christmas

I am not trying to fuel the fire, but I will post some information that I heard directly from the mouth of the RAH CEO.
People are talking about what would happen with seniority lists, etc, IF RAH were to buy another carrier (i.e. Compass).
The CEO has stated that he is not interested in merging with another airline. He said that he would not rule out acquisitions. These are two different things. Would the pilots come along with the aircraft if a sale of Compass to RAH happens? Possibly. Would they be integrated into the seniority list? Probably not, especially with RAH pilots on furlough.
I am not trying to speculate on what will happen in the future. CEO's change their minds faster than weather patterns. I am also not trying to start a fight on here. I am simply stating fact that I heard directly from the CEO.
THIS IS RUMOR - But I have been told that RAH actually sold some options to Compass. Whether or not this is true and why this was done - I have no idea.

I don't believe anything requires an actual press release. The only information that has to be released is what you can find in their SEC filings. They may be in there I have no idea. RAH can buy or sell anything and there's no reason they have to go make any public statements about it.

Um, why does everybody talk about "we don't want to merge with an airline" as if it meant "we don't want to merge seniority lists with another airline"? You RAH guys ARE aware that "stapling" is illegal, keeping in spirit with Allegheny-Mohawk, right?
And yes ToiletDuck, a publicly owned company is required to release a statement to investors (I.E. Press Release) to notify them of its intention to sell itself or any assets. There IS a reason that you have to release a statement about it, because it GREATLY effects the future value or even perceived value (positive or negative is irrelevant) of the company, something which investors have the right to know about. The rules about what you do and don't have to announce when other people own equity in your company.
Please please please don't label opinions as facts people, you might confuse somebody who doesn't know what you're talking about.
