My feelings aren't "hurt" and neither are theirs (stop being so childish, this isn't personal), we're are just pointing out the youthful disrespect that generation "entitled" is showing to those who have come before them.
As for the controllers, they don't know better, you should.

Maybe I'll just call it by its proper name: Guppy Killer.

I GUARANTEE there are many people outside of the airline industry who DONT get Christmas Eve/Christmas off. And if one REALLY has to have a beer with lunch, they may need to start worrying about having a dependency problem. And why do pilots care what the WX is 300 miles away? Chances are, we're going. Work it out inflight. No big deal.
I'm really not trying to single you out, I'm just sick of this tired argument that pilots are the only ones who spend lots of time on the road, and are the only ones who work holidays. It's not just us.

Ahhhhhh, it is not a 175, it is a 170-200 if you want to get technical. Try looking at the registration sometime. This is why you hardly ever hear a controller referring to traffic as a E 175. Mostly called E170s.

But you see, the costs at Compass are already as low as they can get.
I think what is going to happen first is, Bendo went to Comair to try and do a little of what he did with AMFA, the NWA mechanics union. Everybody has a calling in life and I guess his is simply annihilating career positions and turning them into lower paying ones that are more suited for part-time work.
Anyway, I think that's why he is at Comair now. A merge between Compass and Comair would not make a lot of sense in my opinion, because they would lose a bit of whipsaw power. Compass is already as cheap as it get and they can use this to try and force Comair to cut costs. Remember, the rules at Compass were created by NWA management during bankruptcy.

Regional pay, for the most part, sucks. $21,000/year to fly an 86 seat plane? This is like going to medical school to work at a daycare centre. Actually, my buddy at a daycare centre makes more. And he gets the summers off.
