Everybody has a calling in life and I guess his is simply annihilating career positions and turning them into lower paying ones that are more suited for part-time work.
Anyway, I think that's why he is at Comair now. A merge between Compass and Comair would not make a lot of sense in my opinion, because they would lose a bit of whipsaw power. Compass is already as cheap as it get and they can use this to try and force Comair to cut costs. Remember, the rules at Compass were created by NWA management during bankruptcy.

I don't understand why Republic would even want to buy Compass. Merging seniority lists and everything else that goes along with a merger is barely worth it in the first place. I could see RAH buying Compasses E170's and then staffing them with their own people. That would make more sense.
