- Completely mental computations or are you allowed paper & pencil or heaven forbid .......a calculator?
- How many classes / people hired thus far in 2011?
- Projected hiring for 2011?

- Can't find any information in my textbooks regarding this potential question:
"Lose an engine at V1, which crosswind is most hazardous" .......any help?

They give you a scratch paper and pencil.

For T/O I'd say an x-wind into the dead engine due to the aircraft wanting to weather vane into the wind coupled with the yaw of the engine failure.

I'd be interested in hearing other peoples thoughts as I'm not 100% sure

I'd say a quartering tailwind on the side of the dead engine would be worst case scenario. The tailwind reduces performance, increasing your time on the runway and the crosswind requires additional rudder input in addition to the yaw resulting from the lost engine.

If you are dtw based, is there a crew lot to use? Does it cost us any money?

There is employee parking on the southside of the field off Eureka Rd. It is paid for by the Company

If you park your car in base, then the company foots the bill. However, if you commute, then no love for parking in your city airport! For the pilots anyway, FA's get their parking payed for wherever. Probably the one and only perk our poor FAs get.
