Job Knowledge test.
Does anybody remember any questions from job knowledge test? I have been studying for a few weeks and still seems there is so much more out there?
Does anyone have any suggestions on getting a job at Compass? I have been studying and my college grades weren't to bad but did have some problems. Will this effect me?
Thanks

It follows the gouge for the Delta test on mypilotcareer .com pretty well. Had a friend interview there and recommend the following books.
"Mental Math for Pilots" (a must) and "Ace the Technical Pilot Interview" (I primarily used the aerodynamic and performance chapters)

I took it last year and it is definitely not 100% out of the ATP written anymore. Though, It was not as hard as I thought it would be.

When I took the jkt in April there were quite a few questions that were straight out of Aerodynamics for Naval Aviators. When you read it, skip the formulas and just get the concepts about high speed aerodynamics, turbine engine performance, Dutch roll etc. There are some other questions about fuel burn, descent planning, and other general pilot stuff. Some have lots of information that you don't need to answer the question. Just filter out the extra and use what you need. I found the test quite a bit easier than the ATP written.

I studied the Delta gouge and I thought that prepared me pretty well. Also, the flight engineer's test booklet.

Any movement taking place with some of the senior guy/gals, or has everything been steady? Are people generally waiting for the flow, or just moving along when the right opportunity presents itself?

I'm about 115 on the list, excluding the last class of flows that went in January and the four management types that went in May, I believe I have moved up a staggering 3 numbers this year. And 2 of the 3 that have left senior to me didn't leave by their choice. So I'd say the status quo is to hang tight, from the lack of movement and the majority of Captains with the time to move on that I have spoken with. I have my app in at 4 places that aren't Delta, with no luck so far.

If you get hired at Compass, do you fill all your paperwork out that day and start your 30 day at home study or will they fly you back out at a later date give you the information then send you back home for the 30 days?
Also, is anybody interviewing this week?
