They realize we're pilots. One could be towing a banner around the sky, Instructing, hauling ungrateful passengers around etc. We can't always receive phone calls. Call them back at the first opportunity you can reach them. Worst case is they may of had an interview spot on short notice and they went to the next guy. Even then, they have you selected and will schedule you when they have another round of interviews. |
Do they call for interviews or emai(or do they do both)l? The reason I ask is cos I live half way around the world from msp
|
They call. I was given 7 or 8 possible interview dates. Good luck.

I've been updating my resume with Compass since I got furloughed, any word on what it takes to actually get through there? Anyone want to offer up a rec letter for a total unknown? ;)
I've got 1600+ hrs, ATP-ME, 535 hrs. pt. 121, you'd think I'd get something back... |
It takes a long time for people without an internal rec probably took 5 months for the "thanks but no thanks" email.

I have no inside information, but I'm guessing your times are on the low end of the spectrum. Do you have any supervisor/check-pilot experience? That could help.

A little more than a regional I'd say with the automatic flow up to Delta.
Hey Oberon, is there a new internal CPS forum up? |

Hey Oberon, is there a new internal CPS forum up? Can you give me an idea of what $$ a new FO at Compass really makes for total take home pay/ month? Would appreciate the info, thanks. |
First year FO after taxes, insurance for myself, 6% to 401k, bring home about 1600 a month on reserve
|
Compass president is having a midlife crisis and stepping down. Or is he?
Anyways good luck to him. I heard from multiple sources he stuck his neck out for us in regards to the flow. Maybe he did so because he knew he was leaving? |

After Delta, Jet Blue, and Virgin America, Compass is probably the best option in this country right now. Compass is the only place you can expect to get PIC time in the next few years if that is important to you. |

The new hires won't have it that bad. Provided the flowup remains untouched, they will see a very active attrition rate the next few years, and they will be very senior in a small amount of time.

mesaba has 108 positions available for flow up and then its done. Flowdown-remains unchanged for cpz and mesaba (provided mesaba isnt sold again) |

I would have liked to see a bachelor's degree added as a requirement to flow up. Other than that, I'm glad the company is keeping its promises.

I, too, am glad they came to agreement. There are things I'd prefer to be written differently as well, but, overall... |
Does compass require your atp written to be taken within the last 24 months? Currently employed at a 121 regional and looking to leave.

If you've been at 121 your written is still current. I'm not sure if that's exactly what you were getting at though.
Their Requiremts say "valid ATP written" and the questionare asks if it is within 24 months. So wondering what Compass specifically wanted. |

My ATP written was more than two years old when I was hired at Compass. I don't know if they have changed their policy, but I doubt it since they have no reason to. |

My ATP written was five years old when I was hired at CPS and that was acceptable to them; however, that was three years ago. A friend of mine recently applied with an expired written and was told it needed to be current. He retook the written and was called for an interview shortly thereafter.

Perhaps someone isn't aware of the regulation and is forcing people (who are likely collecting unemployment) to waste money on something that is unnecessary? |
I got hiredin January with an old written. It was still the old interview format. In my interview I just explained 61.39 and that was fine.
|
I was planning on retaking it anyway to go due my atp ride part 91, so I'm just going to stick with that plan. Plus it just helps study wise.
I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it an not have it. |
How long after you submit an app online are people getting calls? Submitted 8/31. 5700tt, 4800 multi, 2000 pt 121 (400 pic). Does somebody have a phone number for hr to make sure I completed the app correctly?
The axe on my corporate job is up and ready to fall. |
