Can anyone shed the light on how fast you get the health bennies, briefly what kind of plans and how much for family of 3. Thx

Whoa, where did you get that pay scale? 2nd year for the new contract is $36.8something. Bennies start 30 days after so when you come back from home study. 2 plans both similar premiums. Family per month is around $500 or a little less. We just got hit with higher premiums :( but deductibles and out of pocket went down quite a bit.

Interesting. Might be to clear up some details about your application. Good luck!

Those are the old scales. You added 12.5%, you know what they say about public math! 36 X.0125 ;)

It's the initial screen to verify certain things on your app then they'll offer interview dates most likely. :-)

I know they look at college degree for sure. GPA is another thing they look at. 3.25GPA (3.0 is about as low as they like to go with some exceptions made) in college is kind of the bench mark they are looking for. It's the "if you can succeed in college then you can succeed in our training program" mentality. I know there's been a lot of talk (debate) on here about the two correlating.

Recency of flying time is big and previous 121 experience is big as well.

Apparently Compass is still being picky and can as they have so many applicants waiting to get calls.

How is senority determined for new hires?

Age. Oldest = most senior.

Looks like an exception was made for me relative to GPA.

wayway8 01-06-2014 09:43 AM

My GPA was below 3.0. I got the interview and a class date. Prior 121.

I was told 3.23 GPA, and obviously a college degree, was a benchmark. Depending on your 121 experience, recency and background there will be exceptions. Like you. Which airline did you come from? Congratulations btw.

Leaving Eagle this week. And thanks!

You made the right choice.

wayway8 01-06-2014 01:05 PM

Been at Eagle less than one year. It was a no-brainer.

Shark 01-06-2014 01:11 PM

When is your start date?

I've been here 3 years and it's a no brainer for me as we'll. not entirely confident I'll pass the written test though.

wayway8 01-06-2014 01:41 PM

That written test was no joke. I seriously don't know how I passed.

Aviator89 01-11-2014 04:59 PM

written test for interview at compass? Any more details?

jdoggins 01-12-2014 11:22 AM

Interviews, New-Hires?

Hey all, would like to regroup and get a gauge as to how many more good folks we can expect on property!

Anyone receive calls to interview, or for class dates in the near future? Any word on how many more to be hired in the next 6 months?

Thanks

(thirsty for some good news)

Bzzt 01-12-2014 12:46 PM

When I spoke to the recruiter on the phone they said hiring would continue til ~March and then quit til the end of the year when DAL takes more flows. I'm not "in the know" or even on property so take that for what it's worth.

Exemption 3585 01-12-2014 01:12 PM

There's a new class that starts on the 16th and the 30th.

jarretk 01-12-2014 03:28 PM

Does anyone else have any more information on hiring. I am calling tomorrow to set up an interview for hopefully the last week of January or first week of February but hoping that if I received a position I could start soon and not swim in the pool till the end of the year.

Shark 01-12-2014 03:42 PM

You can always mention that you would be available for the next class should someone not be able to show.

Go interview at ExpressJet to get in early peak at the test

20-30 new hires in January. 20-30 new hires in February. Only 4 new hires monthly after that to cover attrition for the remainder of the year. That's straight from a recruiter a week ago. Of course those numbers could change and probably will. But as of now that's the plan.

Cant tell if this was sarcasm or serious? Either way, not a bad idea... Thanks for the reply.

I know a few people who have done that.

Better yet go interview at Delta to see the test! ;)

wayway8 01-13-2014 10:02 AM

Compass interviewer told me FedEx uses the same test.

Exemption 3585 01-13-2014 02:47 PM

What bases are the new hires being awarded?

Umm... People in the class before last just got awarded MSP...and I am sure people in new hire class on today's award could get MSP on the next one if they want. DTW is iffy though at this point.

Sure......

ACessential 01-14-2014 07:13 AM

Looks to me like every single new hire went to LAX on the last vacancy

That's correct but like I said people will be able to bid out on the next vacancy, like the class before this new hire class did.

Do you think there will be many vacancy bids over the summer though? Supposedly the large hiring will pause until the end of the year when DAL takes more flows.

We still need to award atleast 60 upgrades, plenty of movement.

moihoang 01-14-2014 12:47 PM

I'm going to be in the new hire class at the end of this month. Once back from the CBT, what is training going to be like? I have read brief explanation about it, just wondering if anyone can give me more details.
