Not a new hire but MynameisJim I think has space in his house and I had a new hire on my jumpseat and he told me that 4 people shared an executive furnished apartment for about 450 a piece.

Compass requires you to pay for lodging while in training? WOW! Comair provided me with a 2 bedroom 2 bath fully furnished apartment with a fireplace during training. It even had a 40 inch plasma tv in that sucker. I would expect a company like Compass to be a little more classy.

Why should they be? They have people fighting to get a shot at the interview with the way things are now.

Nothing against Compass, but let's face it... too many desperate pilots out there willing to accept just about anything. Not gonna begrudge them, but in this industry, the saying "you reap what you sow" couldn't be any more spot on.

If Delta mainline requires you to pay for your own lodging while in training, why would Compass not require it too?

For those of you that don't like the work rules, training/lodging arrangements, maybe Compass is not for you. It's simple, don't apply and I'm 100% sure you will not be offered a job.

You know what, I beg to differ. Those who don't like the work rules & training/lodging arrangements at Compass at least have a good sense of what their skills should be worth, despite what circumstances are forcing them to accept now, and can be counted on to fight for what's right in 2012.

Those who have no interest in coming to Compass and are simply hanging around this thread to flamebait with "your crappy regional is crappier than my crappy regional" tripe...well, they require little comment.

Because Compass and their contract was created before the merger.

Did pre-merger NWA pay for lodging during new hire training?
