Compass or Allegiant

I have a November class date with Allegiant, and a December class date with Compass. Which one would you guys choose? I'm leaning pretty strongly towards Compass.

If you live in an Allegiant base Id say go there, if not it's not a job for commuters.

How often does Compass interview? I was given Nov 19/20th option for interview and was told the January 8th class is filling up quickly. Time/seniority is a priority and I'm concerned a Feb/March ground school may be to late in the game. I don't want to be a 2 year mid to senior FO.

Based on current hiring and expected upgrades, do you guys think a Feb/March new hire could upgrade before the end of 2015/early 2016?

Are you sure they said January 8th and not February 8th? Late September interviews were going to mid to late January classes already

I definitely understand your concern, but this question has literally been asked 97 times recently. Opinions differ. I think you would become a senior FO considering flows and aa planes. Taking attrition into account my GUESS for upgrade is around 2 years.

Mainline aircraft and PAY vs regional ac and pay. And there's a question why???? ALG 3rd yr FO pay is 7 yr CPZ CA pay....If you can't move then that may complicate it.

This is what Allegiant's reputation has come to. Fo living in base sure, want to upgrade? Better look in the mirror and ask yourself if the risk is worth it.

Thanks for the response, I appreciate it. I did read back several pages but thought I'd ask again to account for more accurate numbers. I do believe your 2 year mark is accurate, that was my general consensus too. I believe most of the short upgrades will go to people already on property while new hires now will be senior FO's more or less.

Again, thanks for the quick response

I was told they are filling spots for January 8th. 10 a class every week until July 2015. Based on that, plus a late November interview, I concluded a class date around February or March.

I know people that interviewed a month ago and are in those early Jan classes, so I'd expect Feb/Mar for anyone hired now.
