Compass updates

Know every memory item and emergency procedure by heart verbatim, study the lights and swictches guide, know what every position of every button and switch does. Look over the flight planning chapter of the FOM and be familiar with the stuff in there. For the sim, declare emergencies, do the checklist, then be sure to talk to 2 outside (ATC/dispatch) and 2 inside (FA's/PA). Boom! Type rating.

Do you get the full ATP and E170/175 Type Rating right out of training (in the sim)?

Start learning that stuff and your flows immediately when you get the training materials. Ground school is short and you won't learn much so come prepared. Compass pretty much relies on the CBTs and self study to teach you everything. Ground school is pretty much just for hands on stuff you can't do at home. When you get to the Flight Traning Device and Sim portion of training they'll expect you to know your flows pretty well before you ever sit down. Training is a like drinking from a fire hose, especially if it's your first type rating or part 121 experience, save yourself a lot of stress by coming ready to rock.

Training material for memorization and learning is received when? Before the orientation or at the orientation? I only ask because my orientation is in about a week and I don't have any training material.

For someone that has been at Eagle for 7 years thinking of coming to Compass... 1) Can you expect to upgrade in 7-9 months?
2) What are junior bases both for new hires and for junior captains?
3) Are almost all FO's qualified for CA when their number comes up?
4) Any expansion, or continued attrition?
Thx.
