A new hire 2.5 month training footprint is turning into a 4 month one. They are paying many guys to sit around for no reason, that's a waste of money. And it wasn't a decision of IF they would train more instructors, but how soon. They chose now instead of late last year. Poor management.

The training department is bursting at the seams. They can't handle any more new bodies. There are half a dozen recurrent events on the chopping block for the next 2 days because there are no instructors so run the events. Trans states holdings has shot themselves in the foot by not getting ahead of the game and hiring more instructors. It's getting ugly really fast.
Was told as much at my LOFT the other night. Mine was the only one that actually happened that day. The 3 previous to mine were canceled. A combination of lack of instructors/seat support..

I have an interview coming up and I was told that after CBT we will be sent to the sim and hotel will be cover by the company as well 75 hours guarantee... is that the case? thanks

this is only the start of their staffing issue. I predicted that April would be the 1st month the company would not have enough active line pilots to cover all our flying, while maintaining proper reserve staffing. It is going to get a lot worse. Starting this April, we add, on average 2 more planes to our fleet per month, while losing 20 pilots to flow per month. we will not be able to upgrade AND train new FOs at the rate we will lose pilots And gain aircraft.

Their should be close to 40 pilots finishing the LOE by the end of March. Depending on how long the wait is for IOE, Many will be getting a build up line for April.

Is Compass hiring into specific bases? Interested in whether or not SEA would be viable to get hired into in a year or so.

SEA bid hasn't happened and it's a wild card of how junior or senior it will be.
