Same here... interviewed Aug. 24th and start Sept. 16... Sounds like hiring through the rest of the year with about 30 or so more new hires.

It is going to end up being more than that.
Sun Country just recalled all of thier pilots and I know we had several at compass who are returning.
Virgin America has hired atleast 3 guys I know of.
Jetblue has hired a few as well.
Good Luck to everyone!

I think even with the flow through not available to those new hires past the 19 August class, it is still a great opportunity to go to Compass, seems like a lot of possible movement in the near future...

I wonder how they'll sell the new flow during the interviews: providing job security to another pilot group with nothing in exchange.

they're going to sell it by telling the new hires that they will be captains in 2 years. They still have a leg up on most other 'regionals' with that, at least for the next ~200 hired. After that i'd hesitate to go to work for Hulas unless something else comes along to sweeten the deal.

Congrats to all the new hires. If you are in DTW I look forward to meeting you.
As everyone has been saying expect the hiring to continue. Compass is a refugee camp of mostly high time pilots. Movement will be fast due to the flow and due to the ability of many junior pilots to get jobs elsewhere.

What's the latest on seniority resignation at Compass? Has it come up in interviews? Do they just tell you to resign it, or do they send the letter for you, verify, etc? I'd really like to go there, but would like to hold on to my number at my former employer as a backup plan in case something happens. This industry is so full of surprises and who knows what will happen next. All it could take is a corporate transaction to screw a pilot group overnight...I'd hate to have given up a number and then end up needing it to fall back on. Has anyone in this position tried to make a deal in order to keep it? Perhaps extend the training contract a year, etc? Any info is appreciated.
