Just my 2 cents, contact a union rep if you have an issue like what you describe (before you go to the company). And maybe don't post this information on a public forum

Some slight corrections:
-Delta is $50/year for all pass riders.
-Only parents travel with yield fares and S4, date of check in as priority date.
-Children and Spouse are same priority as you (S3C and hire date OR S3 on Compass) and free for domestic flights. You always pay international taxes.

Yeah it wasn't too bad. Thats my one and only experience with MZT so far, so YMMV. I suppose if its an AA MZT turn, you'll have to go through TBIT, which would blow.

Going through TBIT isn't bad either. At our arrival time, I have noticed it is a slow period with not many heavies coming in, which meant short lines. I have global entry and never had a line. The rest of the crew seemed to experience pretty much the same though through the crew line.

Global Entry is 100 bucks for 5 years, and will save you time over the long run.

Priority is S3C on Delta, ahead of buddy passes but behind retirees/parents. It's not great but it's what every regional goes as, except for Endeavor, they trump us as a wholly owned. First/business class... domestic, it's rare but it happens. Just got it on a pretty empty leg... but usually you're in the back. Internationally, quite possible, I've been in Delta One internationally a lot this year. My mom came as well and also got Delta One both ways... family travels as S4 with today's date as DOE, basically even below buddies so the flights better be wide open and better have a backup plan or zeds. Yield fare for parents. $/fees would be the yield fare for parents and also I think you pay $99 per flight year.

Gents (and ladies, as may be the case) -

I keep hearing that upgrade times at Compass are going to slow way down very soon. That said I've gotta admit, the folks I seem to hear that from sound almost angry that they didn't come to Compass when they had the chance. ;)

Can current Compass pilots speak to this rumor objectively?

Thanks.

I'll just give you facts, when the last flow pilot left in December the upgrades were rumored to slow way down. However, we've had vacancies run through June 2016 and all but one has had over 10 upgrades. Our attrition has been through the roof, about as high as it was when we had the flow going. As long as that keeps up our upgrades will happen fast.

Another thing a lot of outsiders don't realize is that the large majority of our captains have tons of experience. They aren't the 1000 hour in the right seat quick upgrade type. Almost every captain I've flown with spent years at other stagnant airlines. In a nutshell, they are very competitive for a job at the majors.

They just announced another 12 upgrades. Things are still moving. Lots of attrition as well.

"slow way down" is a super relative term. If you compare the upgrade times at Compass with other regionals of the same caliber, Compass has and will continue to offer way faster upgrades than elsewhere. It's difficult to tell where things are going to be 1-2 years from now, but I can tell you what I know today.

On the last Captain upgrade award and we are now into 2016, the last slot went to a guy that was hired 8 months ago. Compass has had in average a 6-12 month upgrade time since late 2013 hires.

What is keeping the trend going even though the flows are done as are the AA deliveries is that Compass is losing a ton of pilots every month, both from the CA and FO side because they are are being hired at majors or LCCs. The past 2 months, we've lost more pilots than pilot's we've been able to upgrade and the trend seems to be increasing.

Is upgrade time going to be what it was 1 year ago? No, you probably won't get upgrade class right after you finish your IOE line check but that was kind of scary anyway.

It'll definitely be below what you'll find elsewhere, that's for sure.

From my experience, a company can NOT charge you for company related materials unless it is ordered in the form of restitution from a court.

My opinion, go to your local state labor department and file a claim for the $600 they illegally deducted from your paycheck.
