I'm really confused. Why are you mad at Compass pilots? They have an above average contract and were recently awarded gains on their last negotiations. I fully support Eagle and what they did for the industry. If my management came to me and asked me for concessions for more flying, I'd say no and would lobby hard against it. Unfortunately, you called their bluff and they had pocket aces. They threatened to take the flying elsewhere if you voted no (technically their right because they own the routes and the planes) and you all knew that. You should be mad at AAG for reneging on a promise they made to you. Coming after Compass pilots and calling them bottom feeders is backwards. They didn't submit the bid. They didn't take concessions for flying. They definitely didn't steal "your" flying. They went to one of the best regionals out there to fly DCI E175s after being furloughed from now-defunct airlines to feed their families.

The envoy pilots showed what they were made of,and I respect them for that.No need to rag on them now because the 175s are going to compass. They knew that going in and still voted no,pride and pay are more important than a new shiny jet.Everyone knew the175s were going somewhere else,so its not a surprise. The pilot group is the pawn in all of this.Tsh management put the deal together, not the gear slinger you walk past in the terminal everyday. No need to blame him.The envoy pilots stood their ground and I hope something good happens for them real soon.

If I was an FO at Envoy, I would be knocking on their front door TODAY. There is nothing left here except old farts like me dying a slow death.

1. Not my call. Wouldn't bother me a bit.
2. Might be a tough sell since we got awarded the flying due to our low labor costs via low longevity. When the last flow guy leaves this fall the senior Captain will be a 5 year guy. Proposing 200 new hires at elevated rungs of the longevity ladder won't be readily embraced, by it's certainly worth a shot.

I invite you to Read the DAL LOA 24 from September 14, 2010. There is no language in there specifying the flow ending due to CPZ flying for another airline. The flow will continue as planned, and those that are eligible will have the right to go. Regardless of what you may think, all parties, DL, TSH management, and ALPA have to be in agreement that the flow should end. Everyone who walks through the door today and who has previously interviewed, goes through the same interview process as someone who walks through the door at Delta, mind you it's not a DL person giving the interview. I highly doubt that ending the flow will be the case, and if it should go to court, which it won't, the language in the contract protects the Compass pilots...not to mention the flow will be over within a year...If anything, which DL has been asking for, the flow will probably speed up, and end when everyone goes that is eligible next year since our snapshot will be larger with additional pilots on the seniority list...

NAILED IT. I would bet $ that something with compass' flow and/or certainly their preferential hiring (for people hired after the sale) or whatever they have with delta will soon be changed. Delta will not want to give preferential hiring or a flow to someone who is operating for one of their largest competitors. Daddy D just saw their opening to hold pilots down in the regionals and go back to selecting whomever they want to interview

I'm curious as to what price compass/tsa bid for. If these none owed regionals were smart they would have bid the moon. I mean who else will fly this? But, we are dealing with the current mindset of this generation of management. One, that has no freakin clue about running a profitable business for all. Not just ceo's and a lucky few managers.
