It's a 2 year contract for 15 erj145s. It was a deal done in the summer when we were in bitter contract negotiations.

Why is there so much movement at the bottom?

What about with someone getting hired today with 500 hours 121?

I flew but did not wing. I dropped in advance

Right now PSA has
35 200's
14 700's
20 900's

5 crews per airplane we should need 690 pilots.
We currently have over 1100.
If we were to be losing the 200's anytime soon I doubt we would have an excess of pilots.

Correct me if I'm wrong but general staffing per a/c is 11 per. Which would be closer to 760.

Oh its you again.

You might recall the OP has 500 hours SIC so yes it will be less than a year for him.

3-5 years for an upgrade with 0 121 time you have to be kidding. Obviously you do not work for an airline. Keep reading through some of the posts while you get your ratings though so you can get an idea of how big airplanes work.

Normally that would be true but they are gearing up for 150 airplanes very, very quickly. Check out their website. http://www.psaairlines.com/wp-conten...chedule-14.jpg

Someone else mentioned getting rid of 200's, if you read back through the PSA thread is says pretty clearly the first 200 doesn't come off lease until 2018 and the last 2021.

My understanding is that DFW based ERJ pilots get both UAL and AA travel benefits.

I know several major guys who have been making the same commute I would for basically their whole careers, and they say it's not that bad if you get the right mindset to start with. Basically realize that not EVERY single time are you gonna make it home or get to commute up the day your trip starts.

I am not in a position to move, and will always have to be a commuter more than likely, but if I choose to go to a certain regional I'm looking at, it'll be a one leg(1hr) flight to base, with 7 flights on company metal a day. The only downside is, I have to drive 1:45-2:00hrs to get to whatever airport I decide to fly out of. Just thinking, if I do that awhile, then get on at a major, I'm gonna be going to a completely different city. So is one suposed to move each time?

That's why my biggest factor for which mainline I want to work for is a base where I live. Luckily for me, that means all of them except for frontier.

Personally, it sounds like staying at Envoy is the best option. If you are going to go somewhere else, I would not go to PSA. That is rewarding the whipsaw that caused Envoy to be faced with what they are now.
