This is seriously starting to sound an awful lot like the Mesa thread. Now before you all get your panties in a bind, I in no way think Compass is on the same level as Mesa. I just find it funny that you guys are touting being cheap as a positive.

The level of cheap we are "touting" is far different than the level of cheap that is Mesa. We are cheap because we have no lifers, not because of our contract -- which I'm sure none of you have read. If we ever start gathering a large percentage of lifers like you guys have then our costs will go up. It's just simple economics.

He doesn't stay in a crash pad. We established a long time ago he still lives at home. FaceBiter actually has a blog called #basementlife. You all should check it out, it's comical. He uses the word bro and other cool speak words throughout.

My offer still stands to give you a letter of rec here. I'll gladly take the referral bonus. As I told you in a PM when you were inquiring about bailing from SKW, I still think you should stay put. The quick upgrade is over son.

I'm not sure what those numbers even mean as the junior captain is MSP based. Weve been hovering right at 4 years for about a year now. I'd expect it to get closer to 3 years in 2016.

I don't work there. It's a trade off and depends what your eventual goals are. If you want to stay at Skywest forever, they are a good company. If you are using these companies as a stepping stone, get in and out as quickly as possible. A month of seniority at a major can make a huge difference.

You seem to be attempting a recruitment spin for Skywest.

200's needing replaced (not secured yet) + more lifers = more time required to get your PIC and get out.

Look at the history, Skywest had a long upgrade wait until recently, except for the EMB 120 (time not as valuable). Compass has never had that because guys get in and out ASAP and don't camp out. Remember a month of seniority at a major can mean a big difference with the retirements coming up.

Not at all, I just thought your statement was preposterous. I wouldn't go work at either company, neither one would further my career goals in any circumstance. If I was on the street and struggling to pay my mortgage then I would consider them, other than that there are multiple other better options.
