[[missed any previous info]]

Quarter 2 attrition April 1-June 1:
35 CA
10 FO
...
25 people leaving in July alone
“Barely sustainable”

30 LCAs currently, trying to get 50

18 LCAs in Training right now

“Hurting bad for CAs, may need to make the MSP training guys fly more” or something to that affect

Still questionable of the future (i.e. no idea what will happen in 2020). Mentioned endeavor but only as “a rumor people were talking about”

Apparently the above data was distributed at a MSP meeting 2 weeks ago.

It’s almost like stopping hiring for 6 months was a bad decision. Who would have thought?

ABSOLUTELY A TRUE STATEMENT. But like the altitude above you, the runway behind you, or the Jet A that ISN'T in your tanks, it doesn't help much.

Still, saying 'I told you so,' does give one a sort of morbid feeling of satisfaction...

May be an obvious answer. What’s an LCA?

line check airman.

There are no stupid questions here, I was very frustrated with this place when I was new. They teach you how to fly a plane and nothing else about how to do this job.

I doubt anyone does a better job. I know OO sure didn’t.

I have to say I’ve been pretty impressed with this forum. You guys have been awesome with answering questions. I think most regional managements are similar. Haven’t started yet with Compass but what impressed me with Compass from this forum is how the pilot team seems overall positive. Even the interview process and open house were positive. I previously worked for another regional- I still remember my interview where the hiring team was late. Overall my experience there was positive - good crews but my QOL wasn’t the best(2 leg commute) Looking forward to coming online at Compass!

litterally no one does. Airline training is to make you watch videos on prm approaches and sim sessions to do v1 cuts. Out on the line is, unfortunately, where you learn how to, well, be in the line.
