Agreed. I appreciated the effort. CN is a good guy. Always glad when he answers the phone. He's just trying to give some information that's interesting.

Can any current pilots elaborate on per diem? They touched on it very briefly in the intro session, but everything after that was a blur and never circled back to it. Do you get per diem anytime you are away from base on a trip? Per how many hours? Is it paid on top of garuntee?

Thanks!!

Pretty simple...You get the per diem rate for every hour from sign in to sign out on duty or not. FLICA has TAFB on the pairings. Just take that number times the rate to get figure it out. Day trips, ready reserve, training in base (training in MSP if you are MSP based) and SDP's are taxable per diem. Anything else is non taxable.

If you go to STL for sims, it's all per diem. Dunno if Fridays is still running their $10 unlimited apps but during my week, I saw a nice paycheck while gorging on 40 dollars worth of food for 10.

Ok, need help. Just had a training event removed on very short notice (!), and now it's coded as 'RSP'. I cannot for the life of me find what that means. Am I now on recovery?

Remove from schedule paid. No recovery, you will get paid.
