I like that they waited till 4 days after the call to release the memo. I guess they wanted to give everyone a month to calm down before doing another call.

Truth. Look at every regional and how many bases have closed. Even Skywest isn't immune to it. Stuff like this is out of our hands and the best we can do is fly the plane and try to get out of here. Luckily, we have good attrition and it'll take 7 months for the base to close. I got a feeling a lot of people will leave by then.

Now I wonder whether the "migration" is also a shrinking. The discussion about the number of departures out of MSP and the migration timeline didn't include ANY words about the corresponding increase out West. Not even lip service. This is management speak for bad news. I'm afraid we're shrinking further.
The big question, as others have said, is what will the MSP crews do. I wonder how many can Sun County take. Also, I'm thinking that at least some of the senior "Delta or bust" guys will start considering other options, at least in the interim. Say JetBlue. I know that's what I would do. I'd much rather commute east across one time zone to a growing LCC than west across two time zones to a regional in turmoil.

We received an omen today and it's not good, not good at all.
This is the beginning of the end ( a little dramatic but).
Upgrades are possibly at least half decade for new guys, and reserve will be a long sentence maybe almost forever.
We cannot trust our management. We have conference call's with Management which they blatantly deny or lie about information. It is not what it was once. Look elsewhere.

So why are we hiring again ?
It seems pointless, MSP is about to get displaced throughout our current system SEA and LAX (2 bases). We will be saturated with FA's and pilot's. SEA is already running at full steam and LAX seems adequately staffed as well. We are not picking up additional flying.
Upgrades and Reserves you are soooo Facked. Father time is not on our side and its going to be at least a year(s) not months for reserves and upgrade times are anybody's guess at this point.
