Unless you're still on reserve, I wouldn't sweat it. 6 displacements and 6 upgrades per month is still less than our attrition rate for Captains, so if anything you'll just move up the ladder a little slower than usual, but I don't think it's going to affect anyone in the sense of having a line and suddenly having to go back on reserve. If you are on reserve on the other hand as it is, you'll just be there a little longer.

I think he means it'll bite us because it won't be enough as we approach the summer flying season again. Not enough CAs = raised minimum floors to 85 hours again.

For AA you can pay yr $75 + $50 per guest for the American benefits which you will do through employee travel. This will get you a personal ID and password for listing as a non-rev for American flights through their new us airways wings website that gains access to a specific version of myidtravel just for nonrev listing. The myidtravel.com/myidlisting is purely for pilots to list for the jumpseat. So if you don't have the American benefits you'll always list through the latter website (and even with benefits it's better to list for j/s because American charges a couple dollar "fee" for listing as nonrev). Delta doesn't do the online jumpseat listing that I know of, so the only website you know for them is just for listing as a non-rev. Does that make sense?
Edit: I should add the American nonrev benefits are only for those based in LAX

Would be nice if Delta comes up with a way to list for the j/s online as well.
One other Q, when you list for j/s on AA will it tell you if there are others that listed before you?

Question about Longevity Step Pay Progression: The CBA is relatively clear about when your step takes affect. I was hired towards the end of the month so that means I go on the next years pay scale at the beginning of the next flying month. Does that mean that I should see that pay rate on the next settlement check, i.e. June 13th? Or does that mean I will get the new pay rate just for the hours that I work in the next flying month and thus the pay rate should show up on the advance check at the end of June?

Maybe. Either they know more than we do again, or they will decide in a reactionary fashion.
I think the telling piece of information will be the next CP newsletter attrition numbers.
Upgrades will continue as captains leave, but hiring will only get stronger if upgrades become more plentiful and/or FO attrition is high.
