New hire (11/2017) and got LAX in the December notice. Wanted SEA.
January notice has seven of the most junior FO new hires get SEA
. Nothing like knowing the guys and gals now in their week of death by Powerpoint already beat me to my desired base.
When will Ascension stop treating me like Pinocchio and recognize me as a real pilot when I register, so I can bid for SEA again?
Thanks for your help! The crews I've met on my observation flights were all very cool, open and helpful! Gonna like it here.

Welcome aboard! I’m confused by your question though, all vacancies are given in seniority order, are you saying you cannot get into Ascension to update your bid?

Welcome! Glad you had good observation flights. Email crew planning for bidding issues and ascension login issues. You should get real nice movement in Seattle this year!

When I follow the directions and try to register, Ascension doesn't recognize me. I asked some pilots, and they think I need to wait until IOE for the system to "see" me. Hoping this isn't the case.

This is a question that needs to be asked on next months employee call... what is managements plane to stay ahead of the hiring curve and prevent getting into an even deeper hole than we are already in? Have they even discussed with the union about raising pay further? Or are they just going to sit back and wait till we have no newhires coming in again, and then react, too little too late? And for the record telling all of us to get a referral bonus by going out and recruiting our friends is not a real plan!
They were not interested apparently.
I really hope this new MEC can step up and start doing ANYTHING because right now it seems an awful lot like nothing is being done on both sides. We haven't heard a peep from ALPA in some time. Maybe something is in the works, but knowing TSH management....

I heard a rumor that the union offered to negotiate new pay and told them they'd start negotiating early so it was ready when needed.
They were not interested apparently.

I met our current chairman on a SAT overnight...dude was acting like it was his first time drinking and trying to convince me and my captain at the time that he could guarantee us a Delta flow if he was elected... Needless to say I voted for the other guy.

Gave me a good chuckle until I realized how sad this is. Our voting and lack of knowledge of who we're voting for is a joke. I wanted to vote for someone who is going to stick to their guns and really push the limits of their responsibilities. But instead I voted for who wrote the best email.
