Compass Updates - Saga Continues
Compass better seriously step it up. Latest I'm hearing from my former shop is pretty big raises; in both seats; that will eventually top EV as well as many QOL improvements without giving up anything. I guess we have the left coast, but if you want a fatter check, no reason to come here.

I got a bad feeling about our staffing this spring and summer. Hopefully recruiting can pull a hat trick
Read the New Year e-mail? I love how our standard now is to beat GoJet

The reference to gojet was the fact they hold the longest streak of no cancellations by any regional for DL. Not just in TSH.
In other words, 9E, OO, etc...
haven't beat that record either.

Flying the line with most of you is 100% enjoyable, but maybe that's because I'm a CA and I set the tone. I feel bad for our poor FO's if you're all this miserable all the time.
They really screwed up by letting hiring get to where it's at, though. Hopefully we see pay raises in both seats to make this place more competitive.
I'm hearing BIG news next friday?... Where's teabagbandit at.

Yeah I know, I still just thought it was funny because I’m super immature, lol

For big news, I could've sworn the big news was yesterday. Guess Teabag got it wrong...

Hey, I love flying at CP, all the crews are great, and I always have a blast out on the line. But you can’t blame people..........especially FO’s who came as mentioned, after any type of good (interview, flow, etc) and before the hiring bonus, just in time to sit 14mo on RSV, have bases frozen, with min guarantee every month, 3/4 of that time pre-pay raise, only to finally have the seniority for a line the same month they raise the floor so instead of a line went to a buildup and have to fight to the death with trip trades to get something worth 75hrs so they don’t have to sit another miserable day of RSV or pay for a crash pad anymore while making 35k per year, then to learn that the 85 floor isn’t going anywhere, nor are upgrades, meaning for the next several months its cross your fingers every month hoping you are lucky enough to still squeak at least a buildup each time with your 14-16 months of seniority, all while waiting for the announcement that you know is coming that they will be taking your first vacation you were able to get away, and constantly taking work home with you as you are having to talk to chiefs and file grievances after just about every assignment thanks to schedulers who were trained by blind mice and then asked to fix the company’s mistake.
I am still glad to be here, this is a great job and an easy job. I understand all of the above is still better than 8yr Xjet FO’s, furloughs, walking to school uphill both ways in the snow back in your day, etc. etc. I’m just saying, some people have a reason to maybe not be miserable but at least be a little.......

From all I've read over the past few pages, it seems like a really good time to come to Compass. Hope to see everyone soon.
