The answer is pretty simple. The Company did know it was a bad idea, this was made apparent week after week in staffing meetings.
But TSH and more specifically Adam Timperly wanted to reduce the over staffed situation in the spring. In fact they even wanted to have Compass furlough but Compass management refused to do so and as a result AT decided to cancel all new hire classes in the spring. Against the advice of Compass management.

But yes AT does outrank CP management. He is a holdings director, it’s just how it goes.
As for the reserve buffer question.
The decision was made by scheduling not to publish these because they are currently into a grievance with AFA over the buffer. So they don’t want to make AFA upset by publishing the buffers to us and not them.

Someone please ask how we plan to stay competitive with the wholly-owned & other contract airlines offering better compensation ($) and benefits (medical, vision, employee travel, etc).
