In FLICA scroll down to Pilot Partial trade board, (not pilot partial open time), pick the trip you want to drop a turn from, and after it is selected at the top of the page, select split. Check the legs you want to drop and continue on. If you have any problems PM me.

Strangely enough, I don't have the Pilot Partial trade board in my FLICA. I have Trade between pilots which only does full trip trades...am I missing something here?

They probably haven't given you access to it. A call or email to CS should get it sorted out.

Thinking about getting back into flying after being out for a while and compass is one of the companies that I am interested in. Couple questions that I have.

1. With Lax and Sea being junior, if you were given Sea out of training and wanted Lax would you have to wait a certain period to switch bases, or do you just bid to it?

2. How long until you can hold a line in Lax?

3. Commuting from Phx, with the 4 days hotel a month, would it be possible with a line to not have to have crash pad?

Thanks in advance!

You will get LAX straight out of training since that is most junior. RSV has gone up to 2-3 months before you can hold a line in LAX. Commuters who are line holders do not use crash pads, they use the 4 hotels a month

You could actually get SEA out of training, the last notice of vacancy that came out yesterday has no LAX vacancies for either FOs or CAs. There are vacancies in SEA and MSP only, but this is very unusual and most likely just a once in the blue moon deal. Simple answer is whatever you get initially, you can change on the next bid (come out every 2 weeks), since we don't have any restrictions on base swaping. If there is a vacancy and your seniority can hold it, you get it.

Thanks for the quick reply! Hypothetically speaking Sea went junior right out of training, how would you change base?

For someone who gets hired today though? I think we may be pushing it to 4-5 months. There's already a few who've been on reserve for over 3 months and are still 30-40 numbers from a line.
