Simple question. In "available offers" is that ALL the open time or just the pilot trades. Just seems to me like it's kind of lite on open trips.

It hasn't been corrected yet. I'll tell you on Friday. I'm not sure how long it takes you to write an email but it usually doesn't take an entire business day. They could have DONE THEIR JOB to write an email and preempt any issues or say "we are anticipating cutover issues. Please watch your pay stub and advise us of any discrepancies. We apologize for the inconvenience but know we are doing everything in our power to rectify the issue and make you whole". I guarantee you that would have calmed nerves and saved them getting 5 emails just from me waiting to get a simple response saying their fixing it. It's just a decent thing to do. I'm not living paycheck to paycheck but if I was it would be a very stressful time.

You have to remember these people work in an office several states away in some cases depending on your base. When I was a server at Chili's we would have occasional problems that didn't get solved as soon as I would have liked but you learned to roll with it. And this was at a place we could ask management right there on the spot to figure something out but the fact is when we get slammed, the priority is keeping things running front of house, for the sake of the customers and our revenue. While I'm not at Compass, I would venture to guess the severe weather in parts of the country have the good people at your company running crazy. Keeping things running is good for everyone.

All pay issues aside, you all do realize that it's been over 10 days since that tsunami of a conference call that took place and the IOCC is still not allowing anyone to drop/add/swap unless you submit a manual request to trip trades right?

What about the fact that our MEC chairman just resigned citing our management's inability to deal with or want to work with the union and the pilots, with piles of grievances just stacking up?

That next conference call is going to be a sh*t show....

I'll trade you my new Nintendo 3DS for your base if you're interested

I dont think he resigned because of management and grievances. Probably got hired some where. Im sure his life will be alot more stress free now. Good for him.

I asked the CPs this exact question a few months ago, and the answer was no since such a trade would likely be out of seniority order and thus against the contract.

Which is not to say the company can't have a system of proactively running base bids and allowing base trades in seniority order if there is a match even in the absence of vacancies, but they don't.

The CPZ payroll email I got was from someone in MSP so they live down the road from me..not sure how thats relevant. Because Chilis is so much like running an airline...not sure how that's relevant.

I didn't ask them to fix the problem on the spot. I asked them to look into it and send me an response saying "Thanks for your inquire. We will look into it and get back to you". THATS it. A piece of mind is all I'm asking for and not too much to ask for. It's being professional on both ends. Do you honestly think a 2 sentence email is beyond reasonable? That's a serious question.

Severe weather has nothing to do with payroll unless the payroll manager is moonlighting as a dispatcher or scheduler. I just don't get why people are making excuses for a ****-poor system and the fact that payroll knew of the issues but didn't deal with it in a pro-active way. It's about dealing with the issue the right way, the professional way. TSH doesn't make Payroll's job easy at all, but a little communication goes a long way.

This is the first time in 3.5 years I've had any sort of pay issue so I'm not complaining that it's a common thing.

Another great quirk of IOCC.
Since open time pick up is closed during the bid, you can not see what trips are open for the next few days because IOCC has locked the March lists of trips. Nothing will load in the open time app. This helps reserves see what trips are probably going to be assigned and see if they are in the correct order.
