As a former Compass pilot I was embarrassed to read the letter your MEC chairman sent out to all of you, talk about bashing morale.
It really showed how ineffective the whole MEC has been over the past year or two. Its probably a good thing they are leaving.
Current management has done nothing to openly violate the CBA. If anything they are trying to hold things together.
The choices about IOCC and Netline and how they would reflect the CBA or violate it were made almost 3 years ago. Look to those management pilots if you want to point fingers (they are long gone and knew they would be at the time they signed it). I fly with them regularly at Delta and this is no longer their problem. You guys have an awesome group of people at your airline. Been at much worse places. Maybe a new MEC wouldn't be the worst thing. You all will be to your next step soon enough.

I might be at the next step soon but that doesn't mean I want to live with every day being a dumpster fire or that the guys that come after me should have to deal with it. They should abide by the CBA, because we are expected to do the same.
Also, the AA envoy thing is total bs, til 2020. No way those birds go to Envoy until the contract is up. I don't care if "american lawyers are in LA", I'll eat my Compass-approved-hat if we lose those birds.

AA has a history of shuffling flying with short notice. TSH don't own those birds.

Again... any evidence? Our AA performance is ridiculously good. We're far cheaper than an Envoy crew operating the same flight, they're paying their FO's 60k a year and a 5k referral bonus per employee... and would need to hire a boatload to staff those flights, we aren't paying anywhere near that. Year 2 FO's are on year 4 pay with a $10,000/yr retention bonus as well, so yeah.

I think our soon-to-be-former MEC chairman simply spoke the truth and gave voice to the already sagging morale out on the line. To say that "things could be worse so chin up guys" would be a disservice.
Sure, it could be worse, but it could also be better; and not just in some ideal world...no, just according to the contract things would be better

No kidding tsh doesn't own those aircraft. Neither does mq. An enlightening observation! Ask yourself... What does AA stand to gain by buying out or breaking our contract. Now what does Envoy gain?
Pretty easy to see where these rumors are coming from.
