Well this was slightly entertaining this afternoon. Missed out on a lot...
That said, quite a few critical pay emails going out today. The crunch finally being felt?

Negative. I run down onto the ramp to find someone’s stroller because I like to help people. Taken advantage of? LOL. Let’s not have a 5 hour 3 minute conversation about how entitled you must be to think you’ve been taken advantage of. We have the easiest job in the world and God forbid you don’t ever have to work at a cubicle 9-5 like 90% of the rest.
Also, to the others complaining ABOUT THE HAT. Hilarious! To good to wear a hat because you’re so much cooler than that!
Our company wants us to wear the hat. It’s part of our particular job description. Some should have thought about that before they started working here.
Take pride in wearing the uniform right and take pride in our profession or find a new one. Take pride in doing your job right. The company that pays us is asking us to wear the hat and make PAs to the passengers- no matter if Delta Captains do it at mainline or not.
Nobody really cares about the opinions of those who choose to do things by not following the book, because those people are those that over and over again think circumventing the book makes them look cool...but they only end up sounding like entitled and bitter regional pilots who walk around the terminal feeling like the world owes them something- and then some wonder why they’ve been at the regionals for so long and still have not received that call.
Wear the damn hat, respect your crew even if they’re new to this, don’t set Flaps 2 prematurely because you’re impatient and can’t wait 20 more seconds, and stop spreading bitterness to new hires....
The reason why some are still stuck here is for a good reason, and having the “****** the hat” attitude is a clear example. I hate wearing my hat, but I do it because it’s part of my job description- and I take pride in doing my job right. PAs to pax don’t make me a tool, it makes me a person who’s happy to provide great customer service.
It’s the bitter people with the horrible attitudes that always have something to complain about.
To all you people looking into coming to Compass - we’re not perfect, and our management is currently on a crazy spree of doing whatever they want with our contract, ie postponing our hard earned vacations, but we’re a young and hungry pilot group who enjoys each others company and stories on a trip and most people here are very welcoming, supportive and always happy to help a new hire. What I’m saying is, you’ll be flying mostly with people you’re really going to like as opposed to 15-20 year crusty lifers who gave up on moving on and that will treat you like crap. That alone is a huge reason to come here. Movement is going to be insane in 2018. Also, enjoy the damn $17.5k while you can - it probably won’t be offered for much longer.

Can someone explain like I'm five the SCP and adjustment period stuff? I know our 'lines' come out then there's like 2 other things I don't understand, in one of which things can be picked up at 125%. In training no one even told us how to log into IOCC let alone understand any of this. I've read the CBA, company emails, and PBS guides maybe I'm stupid but I still feel like I'm missing out on something and hope someone can summarize it?
Is there more I can be doing on my part to fly more on reserve? Including trying to pick up time? It seems I'm not allowed to pick ANYTHING up in IOCC whenever I check. The other month I flew one trip and sat 65 hours of airport AM ready. I'm sick and tired of staring at the crew room ceiling 60+ hours a month and putting virtually nothing in my logbook. Is there anything else I can be doing on my part to get more flying? Or find more open time?
