When a good portion of Compass pilots started we had to pay for our own hotels or crashpads throughout training and our pay was 25/hr. "Back in my day.....

When the new guys go back to actually start the GOS portion of new hire, let us know when you check into your hotels and if you have a sleeping buddy

Back in my day, we had to walk 40 miles through snow, butt naked, uphill BOTH ways.

Joseph Smith's Flying Army does double occupancy...although you can request single occupancy if you want to split the cost of the room with the company.

There has been a few people and an entire class who said they would quit if they didn't get their own rooms. That was before the bonus when they didn't have enough applicants, so I don't know about now..

I have to say, I'm very mad about it. I was specifically told training was in a single bedroom room and now training department informed me will be double occupancy. This was one of the selling pitch presented to us at recluting and to be honest it was appealing. At 45 I'm well pass a room mate unless she is under 30 and smoking hot... Anyway will see what happens in a week when I show up .
And if I have a room mate I will be sorry for him.... I snore like a motherf.....

Either list via Scheduling the day before prior to 2200 MSP time and be added to the release,or list via CASS at the gate. Both scenarios require the blessing of the Captain

You mean how to arrange it? On the Delta side, just go to the gatehouse an hour prior to departure and ask to be listed for the JS. Have your company badge, medical, and pilot certificates with you. And probably your passport too. (Most Delta gate agents will ask to see this to validate you in CASS.)

On the American side you need to create a listing on myIDTravel first. Then all the same as above.

In case you don't know, there is no KCM at SMF in terminal A. So don't bring your liquids unless you're in uniform. In addition, it's been my experience that they don't let out of uniform crew members use the "crew" line; they've always made me wait in line with the masses.

And if you're able to get access to the SMF employee parking lot, tell me how and I'll buy the beer.
