I've found that to be true.

Also, the longer the legs, the more time you spend sitting... 1800NM range isn't necessarily a good thing! Especially in a smaller Falcon!

its true, at 5+ hrs in the fa20 you realize that the french at Dassault give not a Sh*t about the pilot., its hot, uncomfortable and not to mention the horrible design of the multiple windscreens for viewing...but the best flying airplane I have ever encountered and built like no other..

I just got typed last month in the lear 55 at simuflite. First off the type rating says LR-JET. In a sense you can fly any lear you want as long as its not a 45 or 60. Thats what they told us anyways. However after flying the airplane. Im not sure how long you will be wanting to remain flying it. small cockpit and really hot.

As for simuflite, their lear program is really crap and their simulator is worse. I have since flown in flight safetys sim in wichita. Definately the place to go in my opinion.

The instructor we got in sim training at simuflite was a total joke. he made the training really hrder than it had to be. he would try to tell us how to fly the sim and then when he got in it he couldnt fly it as well as we did.

However over at flightsafety wichita the have highly qualified instructors as well as a couple of ex learjet flight test pilots on staff. huge amounts of real quality experience to call on in training and out of training.

I'll be at Flight Safety on the 22nd for the Lear. If you think the 55 is small, try the 24d. You REALLY like the guy you're flying with.

That's true. And the guy you're flying with can really help you, if he's on the ball. It can make all the difference in the world, especially if it's your first type.

I think FSI's quality has gone downhill lately, but it's nice to hear that the Lear section is up to par.

Simuflites 55 sim is pretty beat up and runs pretty poorly. It falls off motion at least once per sim session.
