Lear FO pay
#11
I am changing from full time to contract Lear 45 SIC. I have been in the airplane for 2 years and have about 800 hours in the 45 and 2900 total time making just under 40k. I work for a charter company and the plane that I have been flying is for just the owner. Since I am departing I asked if I could contract fly for this company and they came back with an offer of $200 per day + expenses. I am still laughing out loud, any thoughts from people with more experience.

Back to corporate Lear pay. I recently interviewed for a job flying a Lear Jet as an First Officer. Since I am flight safety current (lear 25/35)they wanted to pay 39,000 per year but on call 365 days a year. Of course they have benefits and sick/vac time but I was thinking this seems low for being available all the time. They also mentioned that if they sent me too recurrent they would want me too sign a contract that I would pay them back at a prorated amount for the recurrent. I only have an SIC type on the lear jet but wondered if this was normal from corporate gigs?
I am Pic typed in a Falcon 20 and have about 250 PIC jet. About 3700 Total time.
Thoughts, Comments, Concerns....

I just remembered you went to the same company as KTO. I'm sorry to hear about the furlough for all of you. Best wishes in finding another job; at least you have some turbine PIC to your credit now.
